Individual, Family, and Group Counseling
We provide counseling for children ages zero through twenty-one, using developmentally-appropriate methods including talk, play, and art therapies. Our counselors are trained in a variety of evidence-based trauma-focused therapies. In-house psychiatry and psychology services are also available.
Educational Advocacy and Tutoring
Staff help families manage school transitions and other educational issues that can arise when getting out of a dangerous situation, and refer clients to additional community resources. Volunteer tutors provide long-term, one-on-one academic support to students of all ages.
Childcare and Children’s Activity Groups
Childcare is available while parents meet with counselors and lawyers to receive services. Structured play and art activities are available for children, while teens have access to homework help and computers. We also host holiday parties and plan educational and cultural trips for parents and children throughout the year.
Groups and workshops educate parents about the impact of gender violence on children and youth, teach effective parenting tools, and provide parents with a safe place to share emotions, experiences, and feel less alone.
Teen Afterschool Enrichment Program
Our multi-faceted afterschool program serves teens and youth ages 13-21 who are at high risk of failing or dropping out. The program includes academic support and test prep, creative arts, life skills development, career mentoring, and healthy relationships training.
