Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
2014 Holiday Opportunities

Please join us to help brighten the holidays for domestic violence survivors and their children. There are a number of ways you can get involved with Sanctuary for Families throughout November and December.

After School Program Tutors

Beginning in September 2013, we are implementing a new after-school program that will focus specifically on the educational needs of at-risk youth between the ages of 13 and 21.

Tutoring Opportunities

Sanctuary for Families is in need of many tutors for both adult and school-aged children. Volunteers generally meet with their student for one hour a week. Subjects vary from general homework help to specific subject or exam help.

If you are interested in volunteering as a tutor, please email volunteer@sffny.org. If you have not filled out a volunteer application in the past, please do so when emailing with your interest.

Administrative & Filing Volunteers
Sanctuary's various departments and locations are often in need of volunteers to help with administrative and filing duties on an ongoing basis. If you are interested, please email volunteer@sffny.org.
Ongoing Opportunities

For more information on ongoing volunteer opportunities at Sanctuary or to be added to our volunteer email distribution list, please email volunteer@sffny.org .

If you are a new volunteer, please fill out the docVolunteer Application.
