Mitzvah Day at Temple Emanu-El

On Saturday, April 18th, 2009 the congregants of Temple Emanu-El invited families from Sanctuary to their temple for a day of activities. The celebration was the focus of the temple's annual "Mitzvah Day" in which members of the synagogue come together to help the community in different ways.

Volunteers from the synagogue greeted the Sanctuary women, children and teenagers, and brought them into a beautifully decorated party room.  They then enjoyed pizza, games, and ‘make your own cupcakes'.  The highlight of the day for all was the private screening of Bolt in the temple's screening room.

Each family member, from the youngest children to the moms, left the celebration with a parting gift.  Thanks to everyone at Temple Emanu-El for their support organizing the day and for Sanctuary.
