Sanctuary engages in community outreach to increase communities’ and organizations’ awareness and understanding of domestic violence and to help them build their own capacity to assist victims.

Sanctuary also remains committed to the ongoing process of advocating for city, state, and federal legislative reforms and policy changes to further the rights and protections afforded to battered women and their children.
